Hi! My name is Maya. I’m 19, and I was born and raised in San Francisco. I am now starting my time at Brown University after taking a gap year to travel, hike, and learn. The older sister of two boys, childcare has been a part of my home life since I was young. I also have experience babysitting children in my neighborhood ages 3-14. I have worked at a summer camp, too, facilitating outdoor trips for K-5 students. I enjoy cooking simple, healthy meals for kids. I am also Wilderness First Responder certified which includes 120 hours of recent medical training. I love spending time with kids because they bring a unique, fresh energy into everything they do. They ask questions of the world around them in a way that many older people, myself include, often forget to. I think the concept of outdoor play is becoming a lost Read more art, so I enjoy getting kids out of the house, off technology, and playing in local parks, etc. I look forward to meeting you and your family! Best, Maya
