I was born and raised in San Francisco so I know the in and outs of the city. I first started as a mother's helper when I was 12 and I would pick the child up from a school in my neighborhood and bring him home and watch him for a few hours until the mother returned home. When they moved they introduced me to a few families and that is how I started babysitting. I think some people are born with maternal instincts and I feel I've always had them. I loved and cared for other children as a kid growing up, always eager to volunteer with kids or feed my baby relatives! I have been babysitting and nannying for 8 years now and I would not choose to do anything else. The bond I build with not only the children but with the family lasts forever. I am experienced with newborns up to preteens, only child to twins to a family of four boys, kids with asthma and kids with severe allergies. I have to say my favorite activities consists of art projects, baking and obstacle courses (I create it myself and we usually race) and I feel they are entertained for a longer time period if you really interact with them with hands on activities.
