I worked for the YMCA Child care program as a child care teacher for about a year and a half. while working at the YMCA I have interacted with kids from kindergarten all the way to fifth grade. My job was to plan curriculum/lessons, prepare healthy snacks, present projects in a way that the kids can enjoy, lead outside group games, and most importantly, have fun with the kids. When creating the curriculum we tend to go with something fun but at the same time enriching to their academic. In everything that I do, I want to show the kids I really care about them because they are our future. Also, on Fridays during the school year for the past 3 years, I've volunteer at a school in downtown San Jose teaching kids morals and values. I volunteer with a team under a program called Kids Club. Kids club is Read more an after school program where kids are taught to love and respect each other.
