I am a mother of four grown children, who after several years in an away from home work setting is looking to use my skills and knowledge to care for children again. I was a stay-at-home mom for twelve years and even home schooled my children during that time. Inspired to help create fully rounded individuals we explored, read, danced, sang, flexed our creative muscles, experimented scientifically and researched our history for 7 wonderful years. Then they went to school and so did I, although our lives remained very active. I was a hockey, dance, soccer, basketball, lacrosse, softball, field hockey mom, and very proud of my scholar athletes. My studies were cut short when I stumbled into a very rewarding career, working with adults with disabilities. I managed a group home for an agency in central New York in two different counties for six years. It is my significant others' job that brings me to San Jose and him back to his hometown, via a short detour to the Washington DC area. Now that we are settled in I am actively pursuing the completion of my degree, Anthropology and Biology online and looking for work that is meaningful to me. I am CPR and First Aid certified, in love with books and music and find great joy being outside and active.
