I am an experienced caregiver and early childhood educator with a huge passion for what I do! I have in-classroom experience as well as one on one nanny and caregiver experience. I have worked with children of all ages from newborn to high school age. Working with children has been a calling of mine since I was young and began volunteering in my church's daycare and bible class, and I have been working with children in some capacity ever since. I have been a babysitter, nanny, childcare provider, teacher, and caregiver at any given point over the last 11 years. I believe that being able to support children as they learn and grow is one of the most important jobs there is. Over the past few years I have really felt a pull to focus my work on how to be of service to kids and teens with special needs. Read more It is something that is near to my heart, and something I see myself developing a career in. I believe every child has the ability to succeed in life, and it is up to us, as their teachers and caregivers, to provide them with the means and opportunity to do so. I strive to provide an environment where all children feel important, understood, and supported because I believe that is how they are able to really thrive. My last position was as a caregiver to young girl with special needs. For two years I accompanied her to all of her therapies; speech, physical, and occupational therapies. She was non verbal and I helped her establish communication through pictures and gestures. I learned so much during my time as her caregiver, from her and her therapists, and I bring all of those skills and knowledge with me to my next position.
