Hi, I’m Makaylah! I work flexible hours as a receptionist in Willow Glen. I’m 20 years old, and am currently in college as well. I love music, sports, as well as arts and crafts. I’m open to any activities you or your children love as well. Working at a men’s haircut place, many fathers come in with their kids. I help create an atmosphere that is safe whether they are scared of scissors or they are just scared due to it being their first haircut. It is honestly surprising how many kids hate haircuts. In the past, I worked two years at math enrichment. This was at Chaboya Middle School, where children came to either retake a class or simply get ahead in English or Math. My responsibilities included: watching the students during class time, making sure everybody was on their best behavior, preparing meals for lunch time, grading, after Read more school care for those who stayed later, patrolling to keep an eye on all the children at lunch and break. During high school I drove my brother to school, and back daily. We went to different high schools as well so this was a big responsibility at 15. I have babysat for my Uncle and Aunt consistently over the past couple of years due to their commute, and hours. Both kids ages ranged from 5-8 during this time. I love doing arts and crafts with them, such as painting, and coloring. When they missed their parents we’d work on creating a card to give to their parents to say how much they missed them. It helped the mood lighten, and keep the positive atmosphere. I’m active as well so playing with children is no hassle, I love a good time. They keep me on my toes, as they should. I like sports and games as well, entertainment will be no problem.
