Hello! My name is Rebecca, I am a mother of an eight year old girl, and a five year old boy. My husband and I have been married for 10 years, and we live in San Leandro (in the Manor area) I am 34 years old, and for the last 19 years I have always held full time employment. In April of this year I left my corporate career to stay home with my children, as our personal childcare situation became an issue. My husband and I decided that it would be best for me to stay home. My daughter is in the 3rd grade, and my son just entered kindergarten leaving my days pretty empty. My husband works in Oakland for Waste Management. We have two dogs that are crate trained, and not allowed on any furniture or past the hallway into any bedroom as I'm a little allergic. Read more I enjoy reading, and recently took a liking to fitness. I have both of our kids enrolled in Soccer and Martial arts, and a regular week I do take the kids about 2-3 times to the park after homework has been completed. I found that my husband and I weren't the only ones with childcare issues. It's a lot more common then I realized. I figured since I was once on the other end and now I have the ability to stay home, and with all the free time I now have, WHY not help out another parent. I am not CPR/First Aid certified, but getting that would not be an issue if it is a must requirement for the parent, I will respect your wishes.
