My name is Samantha Berry, I am a 25-year-old female local to the Bay Area. I am currently studying at Chabot College with the intention of transferring to university to pursue my bachelors after obtaining my Associates in Science for Early Childhood Development, as well as Basic Teaching, Early Childhood Intervention Assistant and Infant and Toddler Specialist certifications. I am Infant and Adult CPR/First Aid certified and fully vaccinated. Caring for children is something that brings me such joy and fulfillment and I strive to be as positive of an influence in the lives of the children I care for as they are in mine. I currently do no have any human children of my own, I am a proud dog-mom of 2. My aptitude for, and enjoyment in, caring for young children has been evident since I was one myself. When I was about 10 or 11 my mother Read more began a home daycare business- she specifically cared for children between 6 weeks and 4 years old, and from the start I was very involved. I would wake up early to play with the babies before school, and rush home afterwards to do the same. During the years to follow many of my weekends and even some weeknights were spent providing childcare for anyone that needed it outside of the day care’s hours. The 6-7 years that I spent caring for children in that daycare taught me so many invaluable lessons and skills and ultimately sparked my love of childcare.
