Being the oldest child to three younger siblings, ranging from 8-10 years younger than myself has gifted me the patience and demeanor to care well for children in general. Staying in during summers preparing breakfast and lunch for my siblings as my parents were at work full-time, changing their diapers, etc. I’ve always been the chosen babysitter for all my family’s kids that have various temperaments. Honestly, I sometimes find it comforting to be in children’s company because they are the most genuine individuals I come across. Although I do not have official experience taking care of another family’s babies, I hope it reassures parents that I am in my last year of college till I graduate with my B.A. in Psychology and Child Development. I say this to display my sense of commitment to caring for children as I want to start out working with younger ages in my Read more field and settle as an academic advisor for high school students.
