I’m Maddrey (lovingly nicknamed Maddrey Poppins) a college-educated, fully vaccinated, career nanny with over 10 years of experience as a babysitter, teacher (PK2-8th grade), tutor (elementary school), and nursery/daycare supervisor ready for work in the Glendale and East Los Angeles area. I've worked with children as young as 8 weeks up to young teens and I'm CPR, AED, and First Aid Certified from infant through adult. When I work with kids I enjoy creating fun snacks, playing games (just taught a children’s Dungeons and Dragon’s course) goofing around, and being outside on a beautiful day! I have an arts background that provides me with a creativity that can support any child’s strengths. My care style boils down to the idea that any activity or experience is a teaching opportunity and that’s there’s always a spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down. I think emotional literacy, empathy, and the comfort to feel big feelings is one of the most important parts of raising a child. I have a dog and cat so I get along with any furry friend you may have! I have a reliable car and a clean driving record (except a parking meter ticket in West Hollywood from 2017 that I’m still bitter about!). Most recently I nannied for a trio of kids 7,10, and 13 with tons of extracurricular activities. The only reason I left this family is because I had to move. Previously I’ve nannied a two year old girl, brothers ages 2 and 3, a 15 month old girl, a pair of sisters 10 and 6, boy/girl 7 year old twins, another 15 month old girl, and twin 9 year old girls. All of whose families would absolutely love to provide references. I'm looking for part time work but my hours are flexible.
