Hello! I am a 21 year old college student enjoying the world by traveling, being in nature, and trying new foods. When it comes to kids, I love them. I’ve worked with ages 1-12 and want to further my experience working with kids as I wish to have my own one day. I’ve babysat a family friend son who was 1 years old at the time and we enjoyed playing inside, walks to the park, and crafts. I’ve worked with kids 6-8 for a year at an after school program and helped out with extra learning , academic and emotional support. Growing up was tough for me and I know kids hold a lot of weight when there is issues at home. I made it my duty to make sure any child around me was safe and taken care of emotionally and physically no matter what because of my protective Read more characteristics. When dealing with children, ages 1-5 are the most vital and it’s important to show care and overall empathy for their feelings so they feel loved and heard. This ties into working with ages 8-12 where they really start to experience the real world and growing up. This age group is where I enjoy showing them that they have someone to go to at the end of the day. If times get rough I will guide them in the right direction and be an open book if they have any questions. I always tell myself I want to be the person I wish I had growing up. I currently work at an afterschool program in El Sobrante monday -friday with the hours of 12:30-6:00 while going to school online. I am CPR and first aid certified. I have a car as well for any driving needs, I’ve had my license since 2021 with a clean record.
