My name is Amanda, and I own a daycare in Dublin that also offers preschool. I grew up in the daycare business, because my mom ran a daycare. I worked for her for ten years until I decided to open my own. Working for my mom has given me tremendous experience with children and has fully prepared me to run my own daycare. During the time I worked at my mom's daycare I also was a full-time student and have earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology and have taken Early Childhood Education classes. I am also pursuing my Master's in Early Childhood Education. Working in the childcare business for many years I have a wealth of information to offer. My family is very multicultural and I understand the needs of children from different cultural backgrounds. I offer a preschool curriculum that is geared to improve developmental skills while also keeping children engaged. Monthly or weekly themes are incorporated to the children's educational experience. Everyday we do circle time, arts and crafts, weather, letters, calendar, shapes, numbers, colors and preparation for kindergarten. By the time they go to kindergarten they will be more than prepared and I can provide a list of references of parents to you. During the summer months we have our own fun in the sun program that is filled with educational field trips and summer activities. All meals are included (breakfast, lunch, and snack). All baby food with the exception of formula is provided. I make all my baby food homemade with no added sugar and I use organic produce. I also have an infant nursery with beautiful murals painted on the walls. This room is specifically equipped for infants to offer a safe and nurturing environment.
