I am currently transitioning in my career and have some down time to babysit on the side. One of my passions is taking care of others big and small that is why I have decided to focus my career doing something that will hopefully help humanity. I have taken care of kids almost my whole life, since I was 12, starting with my siblings. I have taken care of children ranging from 6 months-13 years in age. I tend to implement educational activities during the babysitting experience, just because I am a big advocate of education diversification. I have also volunteered in after school programs and done plenty of outreach to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Additionally, I worked in a dog shelter so I am very comfortable taking care of pets as well, I am very energized so I can easily handle different levels of excitement as well Read more as different sized dogs. I have also worked with the elderly (my grandfather). He was sick so I did prepare meals and administered scheduled medications. I do not have actual certifications and or training but we can arrange something, interns of obtaining specific certifications. I understand how overwhelming it can be to leave your loved ones with someone you do not know. I am open to negotiate around your schedule and am open for overnight or longer term services. We can always negotiate your preferences, I am very open to specific requests and want this experience to be pleasurable for both.

Look no further - this your babysitter. My eldest is always excited to see her because "Teacher" Joanna (that's what he calls her when talking to us) comes with a bag of supplies. He wasn't into doing art until she got him to paint. My youngest who is going through stranger anxiety stage is also calm around her.

Joanna was amazing with our 2 year-old-son. One of the best babysitters we've ever used. She watched him while we were in town for a wedding & took him sightseeing and to dinner. She sent pics and he seemed to love every minute of it! I only wish we lived closer so we could use her all the time!!
