Hello, my name is Virginia. I am a mom to a college student, a teenage daughter, and a dog. I earned a BA in Psychology, with a minor in Spanish in 2005, from CSUDH. Since then, I have gained experience working with children and families within Los Angeles County Probation Department, The Department of Children and Family Services and The Department of Mental Health. I have also worked with a variety of children/adults on the Autism spectrum teaching individualized treatment programs in accordance to ABA methods. Most recently, I worked as a Parent Educator, teaching a national parenting program Parent As Teachers (PAT) to parents with children ages 0-5. The PAT program provided (me) the tools to help children stimulate their social/ language/ motor/ intellectual developmental domains, which help children gain an advantage in school readiness. I currently work part time with the Santa Monica Malibu School District as a Read more Bilingual Instructional Assistant and Substitute Teacher. I also have a long history of tutoring/ mentoring all subject K - 12th grade. I also pride myself in being a "Graduation Coach" by helping students that are in continuation school achieve their graduation goals. On occasion, I sit for client's from my mothers licensed child care in Los Angeles. I am very passionate about working with babies, children and youth of all ages and backgrounds because they are our future. I especially look forward to working with you and your little one(s) one day! **In addition, I am also fluent in writing, speaking and reading in Spanish. I like to consider myself to be very reliable and responsible Thank you. Virginia Brown
