In addition to being an expert fort builder, craft maker, and a master of hide and go seek, I am a former employee of a cooking magazine for children, and most recently, an assistant sleep-away camp director. I  have been babysitting for more than 15 years. I even took care of twins and quadruplets in San Francisco. In high school I worked for two years at an elementary school at the after school program as a counselor.  I have worked at an overnight girls' summer camp as a counselor, director of the arts program and staff supervisor, and most recently their assistant director.  I volunteered in previous years as a sports coach for children with special needs and have a lot of experience working with children with autism and mental retardation through work in the community.  I also volunteered in Boston public elementary schools working in classrooms teaching a peace-maker Read more curriculum and worked at a children's cooking magazine. I am most comfortable with children 1.5 years and above, though I have worked with younger children. I speak some French, but am very rusty.   In LA I volunteered with young storytellers in middle and elementary schools. I live in Silver Lake and have a car. During the last few years I’ve mostly been working for a kids’ cooking magazine, writing, and running events. I still produce events  part time but I’m looking for something else to subsidize the wild gas prices in LA. Since I’m in between jobs I have lots of flexibility for date nights and last minute needs. I am open to helping with household needs or errands. I am allergic to cats to any home with cats isn’t the best fit for me.
