Hi! My name is Morgan and I would love to be the person to help your family out. I am 31 years old and I am currently looking part time or occasional babysitting positions. I have been on Sittercity for many years now, but most recently re-opened my account. I started off babysitting when I was 15 years old, then proceeded to becoming a part-time nanny, then to a full-time nanny once I graduated high school. I am the oldest out of 8 children and have 2 kids of my own, 10 & 2. I also used to work for a preschool and am a certified infant care teacher. I have excessive food experience if you need a cook and excellent babysitting/ nannying references. I am currently working as the Director of Sales for a catering company and just looking to fill in some time babysitting on the side. IIf you have an questions feel free to send me a message. Thank you!

Morgan watched my 10 year old son Preston and they did great. She was also nice enough to change my laundry proactively. She’s definitely very experienced and I hope to have her watch my kids on a more regular basis.

Hi! My names Josey and I’m a local here in Santa Cruz. I am attending courses at Cabrillo and have received degrees in Early childhood Education, Health Sciences, and Liberal Arts & Sciences with an emphasis in Interdisciplinary Studies, all with honors. I have also been awarded my anti bias certification and my certification for working with diverse families. Currently, I am working on receiving my teaching certification. I did volunteer work with Cowells junior guards as a captain. The captains help the instructors with the junior guards (ages 5-12). Before I was able to work with the children I was certified in CPR and AED. My first job was as a lifeguard at Simpkins Family Swim Center for 2 years. I was certified in lifeguard training, first aid, CPR and AED. I taught swim lessons, all ages but mostly ages 2-8. Toddlers are so much fun! I also did childcare and little guards. Little guards and swim lessons were really fun because I got to know the children. By the end of the sessions, we would be laughing and playing around together. I worked with Head Start as a part time teachers assistant. Prior to being part time, I was working on call. I have had the opportunity to work with children from 6 months - 6 years with Head Start. After leaving Head Start, I worked at Coastal Community Preschool in the toddler classroom. I sometimes return to the school as a sub. I've worked as a nanny and babysitter off and on throughout my life. When I am with the children, they receive my undivided attention. When there is down time, I am more than happy to take care of household chores. I am comfortable working with all ages. This past year I have had the joy of increasing my infant care experience. I was recently re-certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid. I have completed my Title 22 requirements for working with children. I completed a background check with Head Start, Cabrillo, and Coastal Communities but it does not show on SitterCity. Please ask to see my credentials! I am happy to provide you with any documentation that you would like. I look forwards to meeting you and your children.

***I am only available for occasional babysitting after 5pm on weekdays and some weekends. Thank you for understanding!*** I am an administrative professional who became a nanny during the pandemic. While I am no longer nannying full time, I am hoping to babysit occasionally for a few families long-term on evenings and weekends. I have experience with kids of all ages and absolutely love pets! I am fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID and am willing to mask, etc. I grew up doing theatre and love to entertain little ones with singing, dancing, reading aloud, etc! I had many different nannies growing up and know how important they are to a child's life. My friends would describe me as very reliable, conscientious, and caring. References happily provided upon request. I look forward to hearing from you! ------------------------------------------------------------ “Nina is incredibly patient, loving and helpful with our 6 month old son. She has always been very adaptable to our developing parenting styles (first time parents over here!) and she’s been very helpful in providing recommendations or additional context based on her previous nanny experiences. She is an excellent communicator and she regularly goes above and beyond to make our son as comfortable as possible and celebrate his baby milestones. She engages with our son through many activities including singing, reading, playing, going outside, tummy time and snuggles at nap time. I wish we could continue our time with Nina, but we are moving out of the state. If you are looking for a dependable and caring nanny, Nina will be a great fit for your family!” -Katie, February-June 2021

Hello everyone (: Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me. My name is Athena, and I am a bay area native with about 6 years of experience in childcare. I've had the pleasure of caring for children as young as 3 months old all the way up to pre-teens! I think my combination of experience and childhood development courses make it easier for me to develop a good relationship with different age groups as well as care for multiple children at a time. During my time working with kids my role within the home has definitely been flexible for the needs of the family, and I like to consider myself fairly easy going and loving. Luckily, I have had pretty good experiences with past families and even still babysit for some on occasion. My experience ranges from setting sleep schedules and starting solids to homework help and supervising play dates. I am also an animal lover, so pets do not scare me away. Please reach out if you have any questions and have a nice day.

Athena took care of our daughter from 6mo until just after her 2nd birthday, and we are deeply impressed with (and appreciative of) the level of care and professionalism she brought to the job. She provides a calm, warm presence that our daughter immediately took to. Athena is communicative, resourceful, and always thinking of new ways to entertain a baby/toddler, which is no easy task. She always ran new ideas by us, and she was happy to take our girl out of the house on little adventures whenever possible. She also showed immense flexibility as she stuck to our ever-changing schedule perfectly, which we very much appreciated as anxious first-time parents! She does everything with a smile on her face. We truly never had to worry when Athena was with our baby, and she is still our first call when we have any babysitting needs. She cares deeply about her charges and develops such sweet relationships with them. Her thoughtful, gentle, kind personality is just the biggest bonus. TL;DR: we love her, 10/10 would recommend!

Hi! I am a third-year psychology student at the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a strong background in child development and behavior. I’ve worked with children in various settings, including serving as an aide in a Spanish immersion preschool, as well as in my current role as a Behavioral Technician, where I support students from preschool through high school with both academic and emotional needs. I am CPR certified and hold a certification as a California Food Handler. I’m also bilingual in Spanish and English, with experience in meal preparation, routine management, homework assistance, and creating a calm, supportive environment for kids of all ages. I am patient and reliable, and I truly enjoy getting to know each child’s unique personality. I am currently available for part-time, evening, and weekend babysitting. I would be happy to provide references or discuss further to see if I am a good fit for your family.

We have really enjoyed working with Sofia. She has been a tremendous help to our family. She is professional, prompt, hardworking, and attentive to our children. She communicates very well and is highly responsible. If she arrived while the baby was already sleeping, she would jump right in to help clear the table and empty the dishwasher until he woke up. That was incredibly helpful, and I appreciated that I didn’t have to ask her. I recommend her!

Hey there! I'm Destiny, a 3rd-year college student at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I'm on the lookout for part-time babysitting gigs. I've got experience working with kids ranging from 5 months old to 12 years old, and I've been babysitting for 5 years, including my neighbors' children and I am a volunteer at Siena House where I have helped care for toddlers and infants. I also have experience tutoring and providing daily exercise to my neighbors who were homeschooled. I have a car, so I can easily get to your place or take the kids out for fun activities. I'm responsible, reliable, and love engaging with kids while ensuring their safety. I have also provided childcare for faculty and students at UCSC. Can't wait to bring my experience to your family!

I can't say enough good things about Annalise - she is an awesome sitter and I feel lucky to have found her. She's kind, patient, responsible, and my son absolutely loves her. She's super interactive and engaging with kids. Professionally, she's been extremely communicative and flexible as I've ironed out my schedule and need for childcare. She really is a gem and any family would be lucky to have her as their sitter.

I truly love caring for kids, it comes naturally to me. I enjoy building relationships with children and creating an environment where they feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves. Watching kids learn, play, and grow brings me a lot of joy, and I love being someone they can count on. I’m a single mom of three amazing kids (including twins!), and I’ve been caring for children for over a decade. I have experience with all ages, from infants to preteens, and I’m especially comfortable with neurodivergent children and kids with big feelings or unique needs. Alongside raising my own, I’ve cared for other families’ children as well, including other sets of twins. I have hands-on experience with infants, including babywearing, cloth diapering, and baby-led weaning. I’m familiar with the needs of autistic and ADHD children, and I use a gentle, trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming approach. While I’m not currently CPR certified, I do know CPR and am happy to get certified if needed. Feel free to ask for my driving record or a background check. I’m calm under pressure, attentive, and I know how to meet kids where they’re at.
