I have 5+ years of childcare experience, beginning at age 17. I am from Norwood, Massachusetts, and have been a babysitter and nanny for 4 families in the area. I am currently employed at the Monterey Sports Center at both the front desk and as a recreation leader in the Kids Zone, the gym's babysitting service. The Sports Center is a high-volume, city-owned facility. At times, I am watching up to 12 children on my own. I am responsible for the supervision and security of these children, ages 6 months-8 years. I thoroughly enjoy my job in the Kids Zone and am always putting in effort to come up with interactive games and projects for the kids to do. I sometimes deal with children who are facing separation anxiety from their parents and am responsible for distracting them, calming them down, and making sure they are comfortable in the Kids Read more Zone. Though visits are no more than 2 hours per child, I have experience as a full-time nanny of two children (ages 7 and 4) M-F. I have also coached youth cheerleading in my hometown as a teenager. I absolutely love being around children and teaching them new things, they never fail to brighten my day. I am Red Cross CPR certified until 2019, and have been trained by the city of Monterey for the Kids Zone.
