Why do you love being a sitter? I’ve always valued the opportunity to make a positive impact in a child’s day, whether that’s through structured activities, encouragement, or simply providing a safe and fun environment. I especially enjoy watching kids learn through play and exploration. What experience do you have? Outside of the fact I’m a parent as well of 20 years, I have several years of hands-on experience working with children through owning and operating Amazing Athletes LLC, a mobile curriculum program designed for kids ages 2–6. In that role, I worked directly with children in classroom settings, creating and leading activities that built motor development and confidence through sports education. I also coordinated with parents, teachers, and administrators to ensure a safe, engaging, and structured experience for each child. In addition, I volunteered as a youth sports coach with the West County Youth Softball League (8U to 12U) Read more and Sebastopol Charter School (14U) Volleyball supporting kids and developing teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence. What skills and training do you have? I bring strong skills in child engagement, safety, and communication. My professional background as an ALS/EMT and a 9 year Volunteer Firefighter trained me to remain calm, responsible, and attentive in high-pressure situations — qualities that translate directly to childcare. I am CPR and First Aid certified, experienced in managing health and safety concerns, and trained in emergency response. In addition, I have my required 12 ECE Units and a background in teaching young children through sports programs gave me strong skills in classroom management, activity planning, and building positive relationships with both children and families
