Hello! My name is Amaris. I’m a 20-year-old college student and am First Aid, CPR, and AED certified for infants, children, and adults. I have several years of hands-on childcare experience with children ranging from infancy to around age 12. I currently work in ABA as a Behavioral Technician at a middle school, where I provide one-on-one behavioral support to a student with special needs throughout the school day. My experience includes supporting communication, emotional regulation, independence, classroom participation, and positive behaviors while following individualized behavior plans. Previously, I worked at an elementary school caring for and supervising children ages 4–8, including children with special needs. This gave me additional experience with behavior support, redirection, de-escalation, helping children communicate their needs, and creating a safe and positive environment. I first began caring for children around age 13 by helping with my younger cousins while their parents were at work. My Read more responsibilities included changing diapers, feeding, bathing, bedtime routines, playtime, and keeping them safe and entertained. Since then, I’ve continued caring for children of different ages and have also worked with families outside of my own. Beyond basic care, I enjoy helping children learn while we spend time together, whether that’s reading, practicing letters and numbers, helping with homework, or building everyday skills through play. I’ve also helped at children’s parties with both supervision and entertainment, so I’m comfortable keeping up with multiple children while making sure everyone is safe and having fun. I’m patient, responsible, dependable, and genuinely enjoy working with children. I understand that every child has different needs and personalities, and I always do my best to provide care that helps them feel comfortable, supported, and safe. I also have references available from families I’ve worked with who can speak to the quality of care I provide. If you’re looking for someone experienced, caring, and reliable, I’d love to help.
