I've been taking care of a 9 years old boy for one year and it has been a fantastic experience for two of us. I use to pick up him from school located in SF and take him to South San Francisco where he lives. After doing his homework and getting a snack, I take him to the his swimming class every Wednesday. The rest of the week I allow him to decide where to go either to the library or to the park and sometimes he plays soccer with my 7 years old boy. I started taking care of him for 3 times a week and now I do it from Monday to Friday. Although my experience as babysitter has been relatively short, I'm interested in educate myself to provide an outstanding care giver service to other children.
