I am currently attending a counseling psychology program at San Jose State University and I would like to work with kids on the side! I just moved from Connecticut to California, where I worked with a family for 2 years (child was 6-8 years old). It was so much fun and so rewarding! I also have experience tutoring high schoolers (algebra II/trigonometry and pre-calculus honors) as well as elementary schoolers (I worked for Reading Partners in high school). I'm a big fan of reading, arts and crafts, and playing games outside! I have experience helping with homework, picking up from school and driving to activities, and cooking simple meals. I like working with both shyer and more outgoing kids. I'm good at balancing being fun and silly with explaining rules and helping kids stick to them.
