About me : Hello my name is Amber and I am a San Diego State University graduate. I majored in social work, have taken child development courses, and recently earned a masters in Applied Behavioral Analysis to further my career while working with children diagnosed with autism. I enjoy working with youth and fostering positive development. I would consider myself to be a fun and patient babysitter. I enjoy activities such as arts and crafts, puzzles, games, outings ( trips to park, zoo, etc.). I also enjoy sports, reading, going to the movies, and volunteering at animal shelters. My experience : My past experiences working with youth have proved to be more than rewarding emotionally and in terms of personal growth. I have mentored students in elementary, middle, and high school levels. I have also volunteered with programs geared towards helping students apply for college and succeeding once admitted. I Read more currently work within LAUSD schools. So I am comfortable working with kids of all ages in all areas rather it be simply providing attention and a safe environment or tutoring and mentoring. I have been working with kids for the past thirteen years , starting with helping my mom raise my younger brother to branching out into my community as a babysitter. I have babysat for groups of eight children at a time so I am comfortable with multitasking and prefer to stay busy and active. I currently work with special needs youth. References, Background Checks, etc. : I am able to provide references and/or background checks upon request. I am also CPR certified and provide my own transportation. I have two toddlers and the girls were comfortable with Amber immediately. She took them into the kids room and started singing songs and playing with toys before we even left. We felt very comfortable with her kind and easy personality and we loved her background working with children.
