As a new Southern Californian transplant from New York City, I am looking to find a position similar to the one I left back East. For the school years of 2015 & 2016 I was a before and after school enrichment instructor for children ranging in grades from Kindergarten to 6th. I have nearly a decade of experience working with myriad children in various settings like elementary and middle schools throughout my high school career, where I worked specifically with children with autism Or Down syndrome. That was where I realized I loved to work with children, becagse it is always exciting, each and every child is different, making it not feel like work at all. While in Boston for college I worked through a program through the school where we sought out single parents with more than one child and help them whenever they needed. I ran errands, cooked, Read more cleaned and babysat whenever she needed. I then transitioned to a more traditional academic role with children being a 1v1 classroom aide for a young boy with Autism. While also working for a prestigious after school enrichment program here in Santa Clarita. Your position struck me as an intriguing opportunity for myself professionally and personally as I continue down a career path persuing Youth educational enrichment orograms and hooefully one day be highered as a Professor. And, I truly believe the more children you deal with and become accustomed to, the better teacher/counselor/role model I am able to be. Personally I've always liked working with siblings as well, as i have a sister Two years younger than I am and instead of sitters after a certain age it was just us. She's still my best friend 15+ years later Thanks for your consideration !
