I am a second year speech therapy graduate student seeking occasional to part-time child care positions. I have extensive experience working with children from infant to junior high. I have also had experience working with a variety of special needs children. Special needs experience includes: autism, behaviorally and emotionally challenged children, and developmentally delayed children. For the past 2 years, I have worked as a substitute teacher/instructional aide for San Marcos and Escondido Unified School Districts. For 4 years I worked at Welk Resort in San Diego. While there I was life-guard certified. I designed and implemented activities and events for guests and their children. This included water activities, crafts, and games. For 5 years I volunteered in numerous children's activities at my church. This included: vacation Bible school, after school weekly Bible club, teaching Sunday school, and serving as a camp counselor. My life has been greatly enriched by Read more the opportunity to meet so many diverse children. For that reason, I have chosen a career that will permit me to focus on children by way of pediatric speech therapy.
