Hello! Nice to meet you Parents! My name is Milly. I am 24 years old. I worked as a Coach/Peer Mentor in Elevo Learning at Sylvan Park Elementary School from grade Kindergarten to the 5th grade! I've worked there for about 6 months in 2022. I currently work as a Caregiver at a Child Daycare in Studio City for a month now! I care for youngest 2/3 month infants to oldest 3 year old toddlers. What I did at the Elementary school was everything from physical activities to emotional connection. I would start off the day with greeting the students as they saw me walk into the school and they would run to me! hugging me so tight and not letting go until the teachers told the kids to let go. Its safe to say the kids felt very safe and comfortable with me, as I did with them. They Read more are comfortable sharing their personal lives and sometimes ask me for advice or help whenever they needed it. I'd bring them stickers and snacks and wrote them little letters telling them to have a good day. I was considered a P.E teacher and my job included having them play basketball, soccer, kickball, handball, volleyball, and anything they wanted to play themselves as well. When it came down to lunchtime, making sure they were being clean and everything was going smoothly and helping them open drinks and snacks. After lunch i'd walk the kids back to their classes as well as picking them up from their classes for freeplay. I created such a strong bond with my students that when the program ended as Summer was approaching, the kids cried in my arms. As what I do at the Daycare, we open at 8am and make the infants and toddlers breakfast ordered by the favor of their parents. Safe microwavable food like pancakes cut into tiny pieces for the toddlers who can eat solids, as for the infants, either we feed them ourselves of baby cereal/oatmeal or their bottles. We accommodate with allergies as well! Their naps and bottles all have a timed schedule/routine. After breakfast, i check their diapers as we do the entire day for every 30 mins to an hour. The infants get ready for their 1st nap of the day while the toddlers freeplay and have classroom time like reading books and arts n crafts. We keep them hydrated as much as possible. I don't have enough characters to share my experience but happy to go more in depth! I don't have a Driver License as I don't drive at the moment but I am more than comfortable taking the bus to you. Thank you! Feel free to message me with any questions!
