Hi, my name is Michelle! I am currently a TK/Kindergarten teacher at Westminster Ave Elementary in Venice. I am looking for families who need part time help on the weekends and evenings. I found my passion for working with children way back in middle school. From that point on, I created and volunteered with multiple groups that served under-privileged groups of children. In High School, I also completed Teachers for Tomorrow as well as an internship in a kindergarten classroom. I attended Virginia Commonwealth University where I received my Undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and my Master's degree in teaching. Every time I have stepped into a classroom it has been confirmation that teaching and working with children is what I am meant to do. I love seeing the children's minds light up when the information clicks in their brain. One important aspect I try to instill in my students Read more and the children I babysit is independence and social emotional growth. This is extremely important for a child's development. I also love encouraging and integrating movement and outdoor activities as much as possible when I am working with children. I am an enthusiastic, caring baby sitter who is very comfortable with pets. I have multiple references from teachers that I have worked with as well as parents I have baby sat for. I am to date on all vaccines. Working with children is my passion and I would love to share my enthusiasm for supporting children with your family.
