My name is Ariana Pantovic and I am a current student at Mira Costa College. I love kids. I have been watching kids ever since my little brother was born in 2009. I watch over my little brothers, as well as kids from my church. I have always loved kids and want to work with kids as my job. I want to be a Psychologist and work with special needs kids. I have worked with kids of all ages from new borns to the teenagers. I can easily keep up with the kids since I have about the same energy. I have also worked with kids that have autism including my little brother. I love to play board games, dress up, and most importantly taking the kids outside. Kids have so much energy and they keep me up and active. Kids have always been something important to me. I love Read more seeing them grow up to the young adults they can become. I love to lead them into the right path. Being around kids makes me feel young. Overall, I enjoy working with kids and will make sure your kids are well taken care of.

I am reeling right now. Ariana worked for us for a week (we waited for her to get back in the country for a week because we felt she would be a good fit.) After a week of working for us, she told us Sunday night her whole family has covid and currently she was negative but she would be quarantining anyway for 14 days. A little suspicious but we try to respect everyone's decisions during COVID and figured it was because she was still living with the family members that were positive that she wanted to be careful. Well, I see on sittercity that she has in fact, started to work for another family, and subsequently ghosted them while she is supposedly on quarantine. In the meantime, I had been checking on her and her family, and confirming when she would be coming back. She strung us along like this and it wasn't until a week and half in that I figured out it was all a bunch of nonsense. I never confronted her, she just stopped responding. This is so unethical and disturbing. She really should be removed from this site altogether.

Please know your sudden resignation after your first shift was highly disruptive and unprofessional. We selected you after interviewing 5 qualified applicants for the job, but selected you bc you lived so close. Now these other applicants are employed elsewhere. You left us unable to work today bc we need to focus on childcare. I don’t understand your reasoning for abruptly resigning. You knew the hours and job responsibilities full well and even did a “mock nanny day” at our house prior to your start date to ensure your ok with the job duties. You stated you were “very excited and the job sounds perfect!”… As a recommendation, I would give a common curtesy of informing a family you cannot work for them until they secure the next sitter (or at least a few days notice). You resigned basically 12 hrs before your shift. Working Families beware.

Trustline is California's official background check for license-exempt child care providers (i.e. babysitters and nannies) and the only authorized screening program in California with access to fingerprint records at the California Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and access to the California Child Abuse Central Index. The Trustline registry toll-free telephone number is 1-800-822-8490.

Pursuant to Section 1596.859 of the Health and Safety Code, parents have the right to receive information regarding any substantiated or inconclusive complaint about licensed child care providers. That information is public and can be acquired by visiting the California Department of Social Services' Internet Web site at "www.cdss.ca.gov".
