Hi, My name is Kathlene, you can call me Kate. I took BS Psychology and currently finishing up an online class. I just resigned from a full-time job as Case Manager in Orange to give priority to my studies now that I’m transferring to a private school for LVN program. I realized it's more practical to do babysitting while doing school, so right now I’m looking for a full-time/part-time infant childcare job with fixed schedule & guaranteed 30-40 hours, can be 20-25 hours for $15/hour withing 2-3 miles proximity. I’ve been with Urbansitter for over a year now & have watched kids from 3 months to 10 years old though I've been taking care of kids of different ages since I was 12 years old. Over the last years, I've worked primarily with infants and toddlers and I would say, they are my forte. With them, I feel so accomplished Read more to apply what I’ve learned from my major & ecstatic to see results. Since I’ve been babysitting for roughly 18 years now, I’ve mastered feeding infants and toddlers, changing diapers, bathing, teaching them with educational stuff, keeping them well entertained, putting them to sleep & all. I’m also very well observant & I address issues with parents concerning the kid. Though infants & toddlers are my favorite, I love kids of all ages! In fact I volunteered to teach a group of 10-15 kids, ages 5-11 years old in an outreach program in the Philippines. I also became a Sunday school teacher of a smaller group, ages 7-11 years old, in Long Beach. I never get paid from my past experiences until I joined Urbansitter. My family used to volunteer a lot to take care of infants and toddlers within families and friends who needed help and that’s how I got well trained in dealing with children’s needs, in every aspect plus some educational background about Child Development. I have also completed a CPR, AED and First Aid Certification Course through National Health Care Provider Solutions. I can assure every parent that I am responsible and accountable for every kid I watch. I always go above and beyond not only with the kids, but I show care for the house as well, that I initiate to do chores when I get a chance, which I also do. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me. Thank you in advance for your trust and I hope to see you. God bless!
