Hi, I'm Amanda! I am a student at UCSB studying Communication and Professional Writing. I am extremely passionate about learning, gaining new experiences, trying new foods, and meeting new people and making connections! I have a 9 year old little sister who I have babysat since she was born. I also have experience with dogsitting and juggling both children and dogs in one household. I love working with children (and pups), and used to dream of being a teacher before realizing my passion for journalism. I love working with kids because I love, support, and try to hone in myself imagination, creativity, and wonder about the world around. This is something that comes naturally to children and I really admire this and try to return back to this way of thinking in myself as well. As mentioned above, I love writing academically, creatively, and journalistically. As a third year college Read more student, I am open to providing tutoring or advising in any academic subjects, but would be really open to and passionate about helping in anything to do with English, Writing, or History as this is my specialty. I also speak an intermediate level of Spanish and would be comfortable with and open to teaching basic fundamentals of the language. I cannot wait to get started! Thanks!!!
