When I was 13 years old, my mom gave birth to my first little sister. At 15, my second little sister joined our growing family! From 13 to 19 years old, I cared for and watched over my two little sisters from the time they were 3 months old until they were 6 and 4 respectively. My parents both worked nights and I was big brother/caretaker/baby sitter from 4pm until 2 or 3 in the morning. I fed them, changed diapers, helped potty train, bathed them, read to them, played with them, taught them ABCs , put them both to bed and just about everything else you could imagine from young babies to toddlers to when they started grade school. My sisters are now 18 and 16, and I love the relationship we have and the opportunity I embrace to be their role model and mentor as well. They are Read more a huge reason I am the man I am today. At 22 my daughter was born. I was a stay at home father while her mom worked from the time she was 3 months old until she was almost 3. She is 9 today, just started 4th grade, and is the absolute love of my life. Being a big brother, father, and soon to be husband are the 3 best titles God could have given me! I take them very seriously , but also have fun while fulfilling those duties! They've made me patient , attentive and caring while also realizing the impact you have on children while spending time with them. It's a very important responsibility that, unfortunately , I see all to often not taken as seriously as it should be. I am thankful for any opportunity I get to make a positive difference in the lives of children.
