I am a certified teacher, CPR, first aid, and aquatics observation trained. We recently got married, and he as been living here for 6 years. It was the hardest thing to leave my school, and all my babies, that I have been teaching for the past three years. No matter the age, I absolutely love coaching children! However, the best part of teaching 7th grade writing for the past three years was babysitting a coworker's 1 and 3 years old! I miss the younger ages of imaginary play, learning kindness and respect, exploring their world and exposing them to new experiences - and am itching to work with the wee ones again. I began babysitting on my own at age 9 for a four year old and his 6 month old sister, and have been doing it ever since! From babysitting weekends through high school, to working summer camps and Read more nannying my college summers, these kids have become my family. In fact, my "little brother" whom I began babysitting my first year of college, is now 13 years old and is coming to stay with my husband and I for a week this summer - all the way from Florida!
