Hello families! My name is Katelyn, and my passion is caring for children and supporting their families! I’m from southern California, where I began babysitting ages 3, 7, and 13 , and since I’ve been in Colorado I’ve been teaching in a 3-4 year old classroom, and am currently certified in CPR, first aid, and trained in epinephrine injection (epi-pen use). But now, I’m excited to see where nannying/babysitting takes me! I believe children learn best through play and experience, that being said, I love to do fun activities like art, sports, and games that are benefit all for all developmental domains. (letter bingo, rummikub, etc.) I also believe in gentle parenting/teaching, so in my book, the only way to get a child to listen and be on the same page with you is to talk out those feelings/thoughts, give them options, and make them feel that they are powerful, Read more understood, and validated. My main availability would be daytime weekdays and weekends or night time weekdays and anytime weekend, starting in august!! (I would like to finish my CDA before I start with a family, hence the later start date.) I will always go above and beyond for not only the children I take care of, but also their families, I’m ecstatic to meet you wonderful people!
