For the last seven years I have been babysitting and been a nanny for several different families part time and full time. I have developed experience with infants, babies, and toddlers, younger and older kids.  I believe it is such a joy to be around kids and watch them grow and take on the world with such a fresh perspective and innocence.  I find myself learning new things every day from the children that I take care of. I spent last summer being a full time nanny to a two year old girl..  We would go to the park, the pool, dance class, and the children’s museum.  I potty trained her and helped her parents with chores around the house.  We spent a week in San Diego, California where she and I were together 24/7. Her parents worked insane hours, and I was her secondary care giver from morning until Read more night. I have twin cousins that I have baby sat on a regular basis since they were infants.  I learned how to diaper, feed, change and play with young babies and now that they are older, I take them on camping trips and to amusement parks.  We have sleepovers on the weekends and love to go camping during the summer. My first steady babysitting job was when I was in eighth grade with a family with a three year old son and a seven year old girl.  I would pick them up from school and take them home, cook dinner, help with homework, and played with them in the backyard.  I also baby sat on date nights when mom and dad wanted an evening out. We would play and watch movies and then I would putthem to bed.  When the kids were asleep I would tidy up the house and check on them.
