Hi! I’m Vanessa and Ive babysat mostly in high school and some throughout college. I also did carpooling for a family with 3 kids last year. I mainly did it because I liked working with kids and being part of their developmental process, whether that be aiding in their social skills development or helping strengthen motor skills when I could, I loved taking the time to do so. It’s ultimately led me to my career goal of being a child/adolescent therapist. I double majored in Human Development and Family Studies and Psychology. I’m also passionate about advocating for children who have a disability. I have multiple experiences working with kids with different disabilities. I have most experience working with children with autism, but my most recent experience was working two summers ago in a preschool with an SLP to help students with IDD reach their individual goals. I currently work Read more with YouthPower365 in Vail Valley and have loved getting to know the kids in the valley so far! I’m an outdoors person and love playing sports. I also love painting and sketching. My favorite activity to do with kids is turning on music and encouraging creativity by having random dance breaks while finger painting.
