Hi there! I’m Sydney, and I’m currently studying to become a school guidance counselor. I’m passionate about supporting kids’ emotional growth and helping them feel understood and safe. I have about 870 hours of hands-on experience working directly with children, including intensive time at a residential summer camp (Camp Santa Maria) where I cared for kids nearly round-the-clock for six weeks, and in my current role with the Boulder Valley School District's School Age Care (SAC) program, where I supervise and engage with 30 to 60 children daily. I truly believe that every child is unique, and my approach is all about meeting them where they are. I want to create a space where kids feel confident, supported, and comfortable being themselves. I also have experience working with groups, helping resolve conflicts, and encouraging positive social interactions.
