I started babysitting when I was in the 7th grade for a little girl up that street from me. I would watch her while her mom left for work and before her grandmother would come home to take over. I would do what I could to play and interact with her though there were neighborhood children she could play with as well. From then one up till now I have watched numerous children from infants to 6 year olds. I have no problem watching more then one child at a time. I enjoy interacting with children and being able have fun with them. I have gone to the beach with a family for a week to the beach for vacation too. I have babysat 5 children under the age of 6 all day. I went from 8 am to successfully putting them to bed at 9:30pm. I have done this Read more while on vacation as the nanny as well. I do not have training in CPR or First Aid but do plan on getting certified in the very near future. I would have to say that my personality is laid back and relaxed. I enjoy having fun but know there is a time and place for it. I will be a firm disciplinarian when needed be and always ask the parents for what the rules are in the house. I will not be manipulated by children and let them know that I am the boss. I enjoy thinking of creative activities to do with the children. I am a happy positive trying to be healthier person. I enjoy being outdoors and if the weather is not very good then try to think of something fun to do indoors. I have always enjoyed children and enjoy being able to make them smile or laugh. In school I enjoy helping them make sense of something or see the lightbulb go off always brings a smile to my face. Being around them helps remind me that we have an inner child in us that is brought out once in awhile and remind us there is good from seeing the innocence and amazement on their faces.
