I am a 54 year old retired and widowed Police Officer from the East Coast. I served for 23 years (8 of those in the SVU/Youth Division) and retired in Aug 2016 after I lost my husband. I now live in Parker. I have prior experience as a nanny for 4 years. My little charges were two infants, 2 toddlers, and one elementary school age girl. (All at the same time, still don’t know how I pulled that one off) I served in the military for 3 years then became a Police Officer in 1994. I’ve been a certified EMT since 1994 and even managed to help bring one child into the world. I am quite fond of caring for children from my previous experiences, whether it’s date night babysitting, mother’s helper if either parent is working from home and needs extra help keeping your child occupied without interruptions so you can focus on work. I’m a firm believer in love, and tons of cuddles with book time and laughter during play time. As Per individual parents wishes, I’d rather listen to laughing kids, using by age appropriate learning games, playing outside, getting dirty ( that’s what baths and washing machines are for) over using a TV for a babysitter per household day to day rules and norms. I am well versed in healthy meals for your child and can always prepare meals for the parents if they don’t have the time or energy at the end of the day. I’m fairly well versed with most cuisines depending on your family’s cravings, and dietary needs. If your kids are older and show an interest in cooking, I’d be delighted to teach them the basics and take a step back and see where their creativity takes them. It’s a fantastic way to boost confidence! I’m also available for travel in the event your child is young and the parents need some quiet time/childcare needs while traveling. (I have a US Passport in addition to an EU Passport as I have dual citizenship) I’m also available to keep a household running smoothly and handle every aspect of your child’s care needs for parents(s) who occasionally need to travel for work. I speak English, have a pretty laid back ( yet vigilant) demeanor, excellent communication skills. and a healthy sense of humor. I have a reliable and safe vehicle with an excellent driving record as well as have been an advanced BLS trained and extensively experienced Medical First Responder throughout my 24 year career in Law Enforcement. I look forward to hearing from you!

Ms. Diana is a very punctual, very classy, caring and kind lady. She brought materials for activites along to engage our toddler. We would definitely use her again. I would trust her in case of emergencies or first aid with our toddler.

I have been a babysitter/nanny for the past eight years and have experience with children aged newborn-12. I have worked consistently with multiple families and enjoy all ages. I love children and connect with them with ease. I enjoy playing with them and allowing them to learn and grow to become who they are. I believe that each child is unique and therefore require a unique experience no matter the developmental age. I currently work at Children’s Hospital as a RN.

I have a current professional elementary teaching license from the state of Colorado. I have my MA in Elementary Education and a Principal's License. I am no longer teaching in schools, however, I entertain tutoring. I have raised my 3 girls, all of whom now have grandchildren which I enjoy very much. I have CPR training and am also a Medical Technologist (ASCP) and worked in medicine for many years. I also have a legal background. I have had several background checks, and if you would like to know more about me go to WyzAnt.com and type in my name: Rebecca Markel, there will be a photo as well as my tutoring biography.

I have been a mother of two children and raised them to be solid citizens of this country and established a work ethic that I deemed important in the development of other family’s children. I have love and compassion for these children which my references will fully vouch for. It is my desire to teach, coach, and train them, giving my heart and soul to further expand these children’s hopes and dreams! I realize my responsibility to be more than just a “sitter” because I am an extension of the family and thus, take great care in their nurturing and education.

We could not have asked for a better sitter on our trip out to Colorado than Valerie! We were in town for a wedding, and Valerie was able to watch our 21 month old daughter both Friday night for the rehearsal dinner and Saturday evening for the wedding. Communication was great, with a phone call several weeks in advance, and then good follow-ups and confirmations leading up to the weekend. Our daughter did not make things easy at the start of either night (she had some separation anxiety with us leaving), but Valerie was extremely patient and kind with her, and was eventually able to win her over into a better mood where they could play for the rest of the evening before bedtime. Valerie even brought over some books for her on the 2nd night, which was incredibly thoughtful and kind! Overall was a great experience - would highly recommend Valerie and would definitely work with her again if we’re ever back in the area!

I have known Tabea Nelson personally for several years and can say with full conviction that she has an exceptionally good way of dealing with children. She is very patient, warm-hearted, and empathetic. She effortlessly builds trust with children, responds to their individual needs, and at the same time supports and challenges them in an age-appropriate manner. Whether during play, in conflict situations, or in everyday routines – Tabea remains calm, loving, and solution-oriented. The children feel safe, understood, and valued in her care. I am convinced that she will be a great asset as a Caregiver for any family or institution and I recommend her without reservation.

I am an experienced Early Childhood Educator with over 33 years in the field of Early Childhood Education. I have multiple degrees, including a BA from Mizzou in Early Childhood Education, a Master's in Elementary Education and a certification in Early Childhood Special Education. I recently retired from my role in St. Louis as a Parent Educator, where I assisted families with parenting topics, such as feeding, sleep, potty training and developmental milestones as well as created fun, hands-on activities. I have also been a part time nanny for several families and have loved working with all of their sweet kiddos. Now that I have moved to Denver, I would love to use my knowledge to help other families with their busy lives. I am fun, organized and child-centered. Let me know how I can assist you!

I have 15+ years experience in babysitting. My passion for child care first started at a young age while my mother provided daycare in our home, taking care of children from the age of 6 weeks old to Pre-k age. As a result of that experience I became skilled in taking care of infants to toddlers. Later on out of high school I was an after-school teacher at my local elementary school. When I relocated to Atlanta, Georgia at the age of 22 I developed a passion and resources to go abroad and work with children over seas. I traveled to Colombia, and the Amazon where I volunteered with organizations teaching art as a form of therapy to under privileged children. And my favorite experience was Au-pairing for an incredible family in Mallorca, Spain and teaching English at their academy. My most recent nanny experience has been with my close friends daughter, I had been her nanny since birth to 13 months old, and currently as needed. Children bring my heart pure joy. Watching them develop and learn and discover is such an amazing thing to be apart of. And to be partially responsible for the type of person that a child will grow into is something I cherish dearly. Outside of nannying I own my own all natural cleaning business and I am a visual artist participating in local events and markets and sell my art and handmade goods in local boutiques.
