I am a 51 year old retired and widowed Police Officer from the East Coast. (I mastered loosing the urge to use my car horn in just under two months of moving to this beautiful state) I served for 23 years (8 of those in the SVU/Youth Division) and retired in Aug 2016 after I lost my husband. I now live in Parker. I have prior experience as a nanny for 4 years (at the same time, still don’t know how I pulled that one off). My little charges were two infants, 2 toddlers, and one elementary school age girl. Tantrums have absolutely no effect on me. They don’t last forever. I’m a firm believer in love, and tons of cuddles with book time. Per parents wishes, I’d rather listen to laughing kids, using by age appropriate learning games, playing outside, getting dirty ( that’s what baths and washing machines are for) over using a TV for a babysitter. I am well versed in healthy meals for your child and can always prepare meals for the parents if they don’t have the time or energy at the end of the day. I’m fairly well versed with most cuisines depending on your cravings or pallet's. If your kids are older and show an interest in cooking, I’d be delighted to teach them the basics and take a step back and see where their creativity takes them. It’s a fantastic way to boost confidence! I’m also available for travel in the event your child is young and the parents need some quiet time. (I have a US Passport in addition to an EU Passport as I have dual citizenship) I speak English, have a pretty laid back ( yet vigilant) demeanor and healthy sense of humor. Diana took wonderful care of our daughter while we were visiting Denver for a wedding. She brought her books and took her on all the adventures within our hotel.
