Hello My Name is Amanda and I'm 23 years old. I came to the USA in February 2014 as an Aupair (because I love kids and to improve my English) with the Agency Cultural Care. My adventure started with a family where I was taking care of three Kids (4, 9, and 12 years old). I was in charge from giving them breakfast and getting them ready for school, to making lunches, taking them to their activities and homework. My work also included light cooking, cleaning and making the laundry. I used to live and work with the family fulltime until I got married to a US Soldier beginning of this year. In February I started working fulltime for a new family. The baby was 4 months old when I started. Due to a lot of changes in the mothers work (traveling etc.) we were not a good fit for Read more each other anymore. Work hours were from Monday to Friday, 40h a week. I'm originally from Switzerland and fluent in four languages. I love to help with homework and give tutoring as well. Before I became an Aupair, I did the Babysitter class offered by the Swiss Red Cross twice and of course some special training for a week that is required from the Aupair agency before they send you to your Hostfamily. I'm a very open-minded and responsible person. One of the most important things for me while working for a family is, open communication and trust. I love being able to build a relationship and a safe and happy enviorment with the Kid(s) and the parents. What I enjoy the most of my work with children is, me being able to support and help them reach milestones, or simply be there and be a part of their journey. I would also like to add that I'm a very crative and crafty person. Working with my hands and being able to create something from scratch with the kids is an awesome feeling to me. From little simple gifts to a school project I can help with anything! Now we are at the end and I hope I was able to give you a little insight to my prior experience and my persona.
