Hi! My name is Meredith and I am a college student at Colorado College, studying Organismal Biology and Ecology. I am originally from North Carolina. I love being outside and learning new skills. In high school, I often babysat for neighbors, typically in elementary school, helping them complete homework, getting ready for bed, making dinner, and just spending time with them. This past summer, I was an overnight mountain bike camp counselor for children ages 11-15. I loved this job because I got to know kids really well over three weeks, took some kids camping for the first time, taught some kids how to ride a bike, and introduced many to the lovely things nature and mountain biking can offer us. It was super rewarding to see kids loving the outdoors, asking lots of questions, and connecting with their peers. I have a dog back home and have experience taking care of others' pets, although I have recently discovered I am quite allergic to cats.
