I grew up in a house with three younger sisters so childcare has been apart of my life since I can remember. Throughout my adolescent years, I used weekend babysitting as a way to make extra money while busy with school and after school activities. During my senior year in high school, I was trained by the local Red Cross and became a babysitting instructor at Fauquier hospital. In this role, I helped prepare middle school students to be mother's helpers and babysitters. I maintained this job throughout college, teaching workshops and certifying students on weekends. After college, I became a nanny in Richmond, Virginia for a family of a two and five year old (boy and girl). In the year that I was with this family, I picked the children up from school, helped with homework and projects, planned activities and outings, supervised chores, prepared meals, and HAD FUN!
