I’m currently employed full time as a nanny (going on 5 years with this family) but looking for additional babysitting on the side or when my regular nanny is out of town. From spending my recesses during 6th grade helping out in 1st grade classrooms to getting my Master's degree in Environmental Education, I've always loved teaching. Kids are the best people on the planet. They have unparalleled curiosity and imagination. They come up with the most impressive questions about the world. That's where I come in. I especially love unstructured education, babysitting for instance, during which we can travel down their roads of curiosity uninhibited. I will gladly help a kid explore where snow comes from and what happens to it when it melts, or climb aboard their cardboard rocket ship. I've worked with kids from 1 year olds to 70 year olds who are kids at heart. I've Read more had various babysitting and nannying jobs since I was in 7th grade alongside my past 6 years of teaching in varying realms. I have been trained as a Wilderness First Responder and a Backcountry Lifeguard (very comfortable with kids in the pool). I have lived in Colorado for 7 years and have been an instructor at Keystone Science School, Avid 4 Adventure, and Thorne Nature Experience before becoming a full time nanny. I take regular trainings through Adventure Nannies. I would love to chat more with any families who think I sound like a good fit. I am a hard working, flexible, kindhearted person and I would love to provide your kids with a fun and safe time as their babysitter!
