I grew up in a family of 6 kids. I have been baby sitting ever since I can remember. I have always enjoyed caring for those in need and those who not all can understand. I have carried this mentality throughout every situation in life. After finishing my degree at CSU, I became an assistant preschool teacher. I watched up to 15 children everyday. I also taught math, art, music and movement. It was important to make the lessons fun, easy to understand, and educational, as to not lose any attention ( though that is bound to happen). While I was working at the preschool, I was also working at the Boys and Girls club after school as the Art teacher. This job allowed me to be creative with many age groups and backgrounds.Those children taught me a lot. Balancing two demanding jobs forced me to stay organized and energized. Read more After a year working both jobs, I moved to Denver. I have since taken a break from working in child care. However, I still spend plenty of time with my niece and nephew. I am looking to get back into working with children, but on a smaller scale. Watching one to a few kids, will allow me to pay closer attention to them and give them more one on one learning time that they may need. I look forward to meeting you and your children and hopefully making some fun art!
