I have been caring for children, pets, and homes since 2012. I operated my own small business where I provided personalized home care services to create critical free time for busy parents. Services offered spanned child care, long-term pet care, and cleaning services. Prior to this, I gained experience caring for my younger cousins over the summers. I love spending time with children and seeing the world through their eyes- where everything is still new and fascinating. I feel fulfilled when I can help children learn and grow in a safe and friendly environment. I recently earned my degree from American University and I am very excited about starting my career helping young kids develop the skills they need to have a happy, healthy future. I have the ability to create daily schedules that help the children will get used to a routine and learn structure. I also have the Read more knowledge to create and implement lesson plans and to observe the kids to see how well they are responding to the lessons. My abilities include planning activities and selecting materials that will help the children learn how to express themselves verbally while promoting creativity. It also includes planning activities that help the kids develop good social and coordination skills by working together. My abilities also include excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. I have a deep desire to work with children and the ability to make a connection with them and their families. I am enthusiastic and have the ability and patience to work with all children. Above all else, I have the ability to help create a secure environment where the kids feel safe and the parents can rest easy knowing their children are in good hands.
