Hi there, I'm Lain! I am a licensed social worker taking a sabbatical from clinical mental health work to return to childcare, following three years at Children’s Hospital Colorado. With professional experience in classroom education, homeschooling, tutoring, nannying, babysitting, mentoring, and leadership roles, I bring over 10 years of experience in childcare, youth development, and family mental health. I’ve enjoyed working with children of all ages in both pediatric and childcare settings, and I especially love working with disabled or neurodivergent children. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin in 2018, followed by a Master of Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2023. As the daughter of a public school teacher and administrator, I have a deep love for education that has profoundly shaped my path. My goal in returning to direct childcare is to build strong connections with families and help enrich the lives of the children I care for. While I plan to return to mental health work in the future, I currently feel a heartfelt desire to reconnect with my professional roots in childcare. I have a very flexible schedule and am available for a variety of childcare, mentoring, or educational roles.
