I have been babysitting since I was around 15 years old. And about two years after that I figured I could work a part time job with children. I worked for the YMCA during the school year and when we had summer programs. This way I could work with the same kids over an extended period of time and actually make connections with them. And that's when you can see trust built. It's important for parents to have someone they can rely on to take care of their children when they can't be there and the added bonus is it's someone the kids trust too. Personally, my favorite times when babysitting/caring for a child is getting to do crafts with them or reading them a story. You can really see their personalities come out when they have creative inspirations.
