Hello! I am an elementary teacher looking to babysit part time this summer. I have been babysitting since I was 12, and have spent recent summers with some great families. I am currently teaching 2nd grade in DPS, and taught 3rd grade in Thornton for 5 years. Previously I was teaching in Costa Rica and Chicago. I love music, the outdoors, reading, gardening, cooking , arts and crafts. I believe in inspiring kids through authentic learning experiences. As a teacher, my students learn about the world by asking questions, investigating issues, and creating solutions. As your babysitter I assure your children will have an active, exciting, and fun summer! I am also available for reading tutoring, specifically in foundational skills. I have training in the Orton Gillingham method and in the Science of Reading. I would use the UFLI structured literacy program for tutoring.
