My name is Emily I generally go by Emmy, or as many kids tend to call me, miss Emmy. I graduated from Fort Lewis College with a major in Sociology and a minor in Anthropology, my main focus was on the education system and alternative education. During my senior year I interned with Durango Nature Studies for 5 months and they hired me on as a lead naturalist for the summer. After that I moved to Vail Colorado (my home town) and worked with a non-profit called Ute Springs Experiential Learning Center, our focus was on social and emotional wellness through adventure. I worked with elementary, middle and high school students. We had programs designed specifically for special needs and behavioral issue kids. This summer I worked with Durango Day Camp where we focus mainly on outdoor imaginative play.
