I have been babysitting my younger siblings for years. I then babysat for other families for about four years and then worked in the Evergreen Parks and Recreation daycare and childcare. I am the oldest of a large family, so it was required that I know how to care for my younger siblings. When I care for kids one of the most important things which I recognize is that kids learn from their surroundings, and if I am acting out, unkindly, or rude, I can only expect that the kids I am watching to act the same. Therefore, it is incredibly important that I be a good role model and teach the kids I'm watching by how I am acting.
