I began babysitting at the age of 12 for 6 week old twins. Continued babysitting for the same twins until the age of 18. During the summer I would accompany the family on vacations to care for the children. I raised two children on my own so I fully understand and appreciate the the responsibilities of being a caregiver and, as a parent, the qualifications necessary when choosing someone to take care of my children. I also worked in a pre-school as an assistant teacher for a number of years.. I have worked as a child advocate for children who were sexually abused. I have been a basketball coach and a soccer coach and a Swim instructor. I am in excellent health and prefer the outdoors so the children I assume responsibility for need to enjoy the fresh air, outings and an abundance of educational opportunities! Children have an innate sense of curiosity that I truly enjoy helping them to explore. I encourage and help children to strengthen their problem solving abilities. I do my best to gently nudge them in the right direction. Children's safety is my number one priority as well as their health and well being. Best of all, they make me laugh and be a kid again.....
